The most famous by far of all twentieth-century political allegories, Animal Farm is the account of a group of barnyard animals who revolt against their vicious human master, only to submit to a tyranny erected by their own kind, can fairly be said to have become a universal drama. Orwell is one of the very few modern satirists comparable to Jonathan Swift in power, artistry, and moral authority; in animal farm his spare prose and the logic of his dark comedy brilliantly highlight his stark message. Taking as his starting point the betrayed promise of the Russian Revolution, Orwell lays out a vision that, in its bitter wisdom, gives us the clearest understanding we possess of the possible consequences of our social and political acts. We are delighted to publish this classic book as part of our extensive Classic Library collection. Many of the books in our collection have been out of print for decades, and therefore have not been accessible to the general public. "George Orwell's biting satire, adapted by Nelson Bond. Animal Farm is a fable with a sting. Millions of words have been written about the threat of Totalitarianism, but it remained to the late George Orwell, farsighted British author of the brilliant and frightening 1984, to expose the Russian experiment for what it really is: an idealist's dream, converted by realists into a nightmare. In Nelson Bond's simple staged dramatic reading version of this timely allegory you will meet beasts whose prototypes have dominated news headlines for a half hundred fearful years. Opening on a note of joyous triumph for the creatures who have emancipated themselves from the cruel mastery of a human owner, the reading mounts inexorably to a climax of disillusionment in which the other animals discover themselves now subject to the rule of even more ruthless autocrats: the greedy, cunning pigs."--Publisher's description.

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Animal Farm is a dystopian novella in the form of an allegory by George Orwell. Published in England on 17 August 1945, the book reflects events leading up to and during the Stalin era before World War II. Orwell, a democratic socialist and a member of the Independent Labour Party for many years, was a critic of Joseph Stalin and was suspicious of Moscow-directed Stalinism after his experiences with the NKVD during the Spanish Civil War. In a letter to Yvonne Davet, Orwell described Animal Farm as his novel contre Stalin. The original title was Animal Farm: A Fairy Story, but A Fairy Story was dropped by the US publishers for its 1946 publication. Of all the translations during Orwell's lifetime, only Telugu kept the original title. Other variations in the title include: A Satire and A Contemporary Satire.[3] Orwell suggested for the French translation the title Union des républiques socialistes animales, recalling the French name of the Soviet Union, Union des républiques socialistes soviétiques, and which abbreviates URSA, which means bear in Latin.

1984 AND ANIMAL FARM GEORGE ORWELL 1984: 1984 is a popular novel authored by British writer George Orwell and published in year 1949. The story of 1984 is set in an imaginary place called Airstrip One. This Airstrip One is actually the Britain. The system of governance in this territory is one oligarchy by inert elites of dictator government. This kind of social-scientific socialism is known by the name of Ingsoc in a language invented and patronized by the totalitarianist government. However, this new invented language is pretty much off the regular or popular one's still its name sounds logically right being simply called newspeak. Airstrip One which is a territory of greater state of Oceania offers similar living conditions (personal and Social) to the one offered by the greater Oceania or rest of the world. Personal thinking has been made a crime and omnipresent government surveillance, thought manipulation, and perpetual war are common traits found in a territory. ANIMAL FARM: A highly claimed novel penned by George Orwell that largely focuses on the Russian revolution and the consequences followed thereafter. Animal Farm's success can be understood by the facts that the book has been placed at the highest spots once and again throughout the later 20th century and also in the early 21st.
